About the role:

At headspace Southport (Lives Lived Well), we are looking for an enthusiastic Clinician who will provide comprehensive mental health assessment and acute home-based intervention to young people who are newly referred to the service.

This is a full time ongoing role, which will be supported by a highly enthusiastic Team Leader and a team of Senior Clinicians and Clinicians.

This position will work across a 7 day rotating roster with shifts of Mon – Fri; 8am – 4pm, 2pm – 10pm and on weekends of 10am – 6pm.

The base salary range for this role is $32.32 – 35.44 per hour + super (9.5%) + salary packaging to increase your take home pay by $6 000 per annum.

If you are interested in the role, the ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Nursing
• Demonstrated experience in acute mental health care for young people experiencing mental health disorders and, first episode psychosis
• Knowledge and skills in crisis intervention and risk management
• Able to actively engage and work collaboratively with young people and their families/significant others
• Understanding of early psychosis rationale and principles including the developmental stages of young people
• Clinical experience and skills within youth mental health (desirable)
• Current registration with AHPRA or AASW (or eligibility)
• Current Drivers Licence (desirable)
• Current QLD Blue Card/Working With Children Check
