Little Sophia is a beautiful well-established non-denominational Steiner Kindergarten for 3-5 year old children in mixed age groups. We are not-for-profit and located close to the historic Abbotsford Convent Arts precinct in the inner city of Melbourne, Sophia Mundi Steiner School and Collingwood College.

about the opportunity

We are looking for a joyful and enthusiastic person who loves children and is deeply interested in the domestic activity surrounding early childhood such as cooking, gardening, music, storytelling and handcrafts. Someone who is committed to Anthroposophy and ongoing self-development and has knowledge of Steiner Early Childhood Education.

The co-educator has an integral role to play in the Kindergarten program and is a valued team member. Not only is the co-educator a support for the teacher but, due to the nature of the work, he or she is a role model for the children. A key component of their day is the preparation and care of food and its consumption.

This position is for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm.
