About the Role

Working as a Permanent Full Time NDIS Client Intake & Support Officer in our Hurstville, Penrith or Tuggerah office you will be the first point of contact for potential clients. In this role the successful candidate must be able to provide clients and their families with clear information and advice about our disability services at Life Without Barriers. The ideal applicant will also engage with potential clients to develop service agreements that accurately reflect the needs and preferences discussed with key stakeholders. Experience within the disability sector and customer service is a requirement for this role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond efficiently and appropriately to all prospective client enquiries via email and phone
  • Collaborate with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Develop Service Agreements that accurately reflect client requirements
  • Follow all principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and relevant legislation
  • Provide the relevant information about our service capacity and limitations to clients
  • Provide reports that include new client data, exits, trends and positive outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Tertiary qualifications with a minimum of a Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Sound understanding of person-centred thinking, the principles of the NDIS and the National Disability Service Standards
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities delivering outcomes within agreed time frames and quality standards
  • The confidence to maintain service user privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent organisational skills, problem solving ability, adaptability, and the ability to work in a busy high-volume environment

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
