About the role

Newly created position to coordinate operational performance improvement processes and the implementation of national projects within Child, Youth & Family (CYF) services. This role will ensure that operational systems and processes are efficient and fit for purpose and where possible create national alignment. Your relationship building and influencing skills at senior levels will be key to your success in this role. This is a permanent full time position where you can be based anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Operations and Strategic Initiatives and the CYF leadership team to develop and implement strategic and operational business plans
  • Conduct high-level, holistic analysis of the operational performance of CYF programs
  • Undertake root cause analysis or diagnosis into issues and concerns and connect relevant business units and support services to address and rectify issues
  • Facilitate and support the development of operational policies, processes and programs
  • Actively work with stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate strategic and operational risks
  • Manage the development, coordination, planning, execution and delivery of operational improvement projects
  • Engage and build positive working relationships with CYF Managers and Business Partners to facilitate their involvement in key CYF operational priorities and ensure support is provided

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary level qualifications in relevant field (e.g. business, psychology) or equivalent business management field
  • Experience working at a senior level within Out of Home Care in Australia, including working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment
  • Ability to implement state-wide and national business improvement projects and strategies
  • Proven experience in building and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • The ability to influence and work in partnership with various stakeholders and various levels
