About the role

As a Home and Community Care (HACC) Support Worker, you will be actively supporting clients to remain living independently at home through the provision of social support, personal care and domestic assistance.

These casual positions are based in Tamworth and the surrounding areas. The ability and willingness to work short shifts and regular shift work (Including weekends and public holidays) across a 24/7 roster is necessary for these roles, due to the ongoing support needs of our clients.

Your daily duties will include (but not limited to);

  • Personal care including showering, toileting & grooming assistance
  • Social support and transportation including transport to medical appointments, grocery shopping and social activities
  • Housekeeping and domestic assistance including cooking, household cleaning and laundry assistance.
  • Administer basic first aid and manual handling as required
  • Completion of client support documentation such as progress notes

Skills and Experience  

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or similar
  • Prior experience within an Aged Care or Disability support role (Preferred)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to complete basic computer based tasks.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
