As a Family Contact Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring family visits between children or young people and their families, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child or young person and those participating in the visit as well as providing occasional transportation and mentoring to children.
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in social work or related, an unrestricted drivers licence and a fully insured vehicle with child lock system, back seat capacity and functioning connections for a 0-4 year old’s car seat and be available for casual shifts across 7 days including morning, afternoon/evening and weekends within Newcastle and surrounding areas.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
