About the Role

Working as a Casual Disability Support Worker across our Supported Independent Living setting’s in the Sutherland Shire and St George areas, you will play an important role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live independently in the community and to achieve their individual goals.

Successful candidates will have strong communication skills and demonstrate a passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our clients. Candidates with previous experience working with clients with disability in Supported Independent Living settings will be highly regarded.

We have multiple casual roles available and are seeking candidates who are flexible to work across a 24/7 roster and across various suburbs of Sutherland and St George including Caringbah, Gymea, Carlton, Hurstville, Kirrawee, Miranda, Arncliffe, Kingsgrove and Kogarah Bay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with clients daily living (including personal care)
  • Participation in activities of daily living
  • Assisting Clients with Community access and transport
  • Maintaining and monitoring person-centred plans
  • Following individual support plans and behaviour support plans where required
  • Documentation and progress note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Good communication skills and a passion for supporting and promoting the individual needs of our clients.
  • NSW Driver's license 
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience working with People with disability will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster
  • Ability to maintain service user privacy and confidentiality
  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Welfare or similar will be highly regarded

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
