Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF) is an Australian charity dedicated to providing information and support for families of children born sick or premature. It is run primarily by those who have experienced this journey and therefore understand what these families are going through.

Life’s Little Treasures Foundation believes that providing information and education to parents and professionals is key to providing best outcomes for premature and sick babies.

The Role - National Partnerships Manager

The National Partnership Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing a robust portfolio of relationships with Trust and Foundations, Corporate Partners and Philanthropists in order to grow and diversify organisational revenue nationally to ensure LLTF can support the delivery of our services to help families of babies born premature or sick.

This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining fundraising strategies to secure agreed income targets from corporates, sponsors, trusts and foundations. This includes but is not limited to maintaining existing and developing new corporate and brand partnerships. Identifying opportunities for additional and new funding from trusts and foundations nationally and fostering long term relationship with philanthropic partners.

DUTIES

1. Strategic planning & reporting

  • Develop strategy and objectives for fundraising and contribute to strategy development of the charity as a whole, in conjunction with the CEO
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders – corporate, philanthropic and individuals
  • Develop new activities and relationships as required to ensure successful implementation of strategy
  • Manage fundraising, partnership and sponsorship expenses
  • Manage and maintain all corporate partners and donors on LLTF’s database or as directed by CEO
  • Provide a detailed monthly activity report to the CEO of all relationships with current partners and potential partners

2. Corporate partnerships & philanthropy

  • Develop strategy, conduct research and prepare pitch to secure high value State or National based corporate partnerships
  • Be the primary liaison point between corporate partner organisation and work with corporate partners to maximise financial contribution to and national exposure of LLTF
  • Measure impact of partnerships on brand awareness, measure income from corporate partners (both direct income and income from consumer contributions)
  • Continue to implement corporate partnership pitch process to engage new prospects to ensure growth in this area in future years
  • Conduct research and develop proposals and engagement strategies for corporate foundations, to increase corporate philanthropy income
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective and timely delivery of all corporate partnership obligations
  • Negotiate terms and draft Contracts for new and renewing partnerships

3.Major donors and Individual donations

  • Identify and prepare tailored and compelling applications (presentations and / or written) to major private trusts and foundation gifts and granting bodies
  • Ensure that appropriate information is gathered on funded projects and provide accurate and timely reports to funders
  • Develop/review income streams including but not limited to workplace giving and bequest programs
  • Develop relationships with key personnel within foundations and granting bodies

Time commitment

22 hours per week (some flexibility required)

  • Required to attend LLTF activities, events and conferences outside of these hours

Key challenges

  • Grow the partnerships and fundraising portfolio across Australia to support the ongoing delivery of LLTF programs and services
  • Effective communication with other stakeholders to ensure
  • To ensure the Walk for Prems event is a well organised, well run, popular event on the QLD calendar
