About the Role:

The purpose and key focus of this role is to manage the pipeline of paid and volunteer staff for text crisis support service and to ensure volunteering experience continuously improves.

The role will also be focused on developing initiatives for text volunteers predominately to adapt to change including working closely with HR regarding legislative requirements.

In this role you will be working collaboratively with Marketing and Fundraising to leverage relationships that will ensure a continued supply of high-quality volunteers as part of Lifeline’s Volunteer Programs.

Experience and Education

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in High Volume Recruitment Processes and retention programs that result in high quality candidates along with great candidate and volunteer experience.
• Demonstrated competence and substantial experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams leveraging continuous improvement based on strategic needs.
• Proven experience in being aware of budgets and staff in the not for profit, public or private sectors.
• Change implantation in a complex organisational setting
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Appropriate qualifications to enable full understanding of the community and volunteer sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Position Duties:

Key activities of the position will be to:

• Manage a team of volunteers to meet the demand of the text service through the effective screening, engaging, and on-boarding of new recruits
• Drive the change to the digital platforms that impact either recruitment or retention so that targets are met Volunteer Engagement Program development and implementation
• Ensure consistency across induction processes and the implantation and management of best practice retention programs.
• Through development and implantation of strong volunteer engagement activities, lead and promote Lifeline as a ‘Centre of Volunteer Excellence’.
• Research analyse data and volunteer trends at a national and international level
• Represent Lifeline Australia on various external working groups
