Lifeline Australia is a National Charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24-hour Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention Services.
Lifeline is Australia’s largest suicide prevention service with over 40 centres around the nation. There are over 3,500 volunteers and 1,000 employees working to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.
Along with community services, Lifeline aims to deliver digital services to Australian people in crisis, wherever they might be and in the mode in which they are most comfortable accessing support. Each year, Lifeline receives almost 1 million contacts from people in crisis.
The Clinical Practice Facilitator is part of the Clinical Practice team, a centrally based team that supports and influences the delivery of a high quality, consistent crisis support service across all Lifeline digital and telephony channels, through the provision of mental health and suicide prevention subject matter expertise. The role provides subject matter specific content and advice across all Lifeline business units; supports the development and implementation of service quality improvements, contributes towards clinical governance activities and to the development and implementation of policy, procedure and guidelines.
We’re looking for a dynamic mental health practitioner who’s ready to move into the exciting and challenging space of supporting the delivery of mental health care through digital and telephony channels. You’ll have strong core counselling skills and a good understanding of current practice and approaches across mental health interventions and suicide prevention. You’ll have strong communication skills and enjoy delivering the occasional workshop and webinar, plus great attention to detail and feel comfortable creating and writing content for use across the organisation. You’ll be joining a small, high performing team with a great complementary skill set and we’re looking for someone who enjoys collaborating and engaging with team members and stakeholders more widely.
