Service Delivery Manager - Gold Coast

Life Education Queensland is a health promotion charity and the state’s largest non-government provider of drug, health and safety education to children. We have a vision of generations of healthy young Australians living to their full potential.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced people manager to oversee a team of more than 25 Health Educators across Queensland who deliver the Life Education program to more than 200,000 children in over 800 schools and pre-schools.

The Role

In this hands on role, you will lead a process of continual improvement in the way that the Life Education program is delivered so that we provide the most effective support to Queensland schools, funding partners and our social impact objectives.

You will provide day to day management for a remote team of Educators across Queensland and ensure that they are achieving or exceeding the professional standards required of their role. Your leadership experience will ensure your team are engaged, inspired and connected to Life Education’s vision, mission and values.

The role will also have a strong compliance focus, ensuring our delivery of the program is meeting the obligations under our service agreements with externals funders and partners.

Key Selection Criteria:

Your application must address the following selection criteria:

  • A hands-on leader with strong communication and coaching skills and experience of leading a large remote team.
  • A strong understanding of how to influence young people’s behaviour to achieve positive health outcomes, with a health promotion/ health education background preferred.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of services/programs across a wide area, with demonstrated success in leading and implementing service improvement.
  • Strong compliance management skills including report writing.
  • Excellent organising and planning skills, with the ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Life Education program and its links to the Australian curriculum, as it relates to health and sexual health education.
  • Flexibility to travel across the state on a regular basis.
  • Commitment to Life Education’s vision, mission and values – with a desire to improve the health and wellbeing of children.

This is a full time fixed term contract until 30 June 2022, with possible extension beyond.
