We have an opportunity for a new Team Leader to join or Womens-only Crisis Accommodation. This site n is a residential facility with 15 single client rooms. The service provides temporary accommodation (for up to 12 weeks), case management, transitional and interim housing support, and other services to assist clients in achieving dignified and sustainable housing outcomes. The program also provides support to women outside the residential facility, including a Launch Housing rooming house located in the St Kilda area.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Team Leader – Case Management is responsible for overseeing and supervising the Case Management team at the East St. Kilda crisis accommodation site for women, and reports to the Coordinator – Case Management.

The case management model is delivered through a feminist, strength based and trauma informed lens. As a Team Leader, you will act as a mentor to help facilitate and enhance on-the-job performance of case managers by reviewing casework, managing caseloads, and ensuring effective client outcomes. You'll also hold your own client case load and co-manage clients at times.

Success in this role can also look like developing and managing relationships with First Nation Stakeholders, thereby ensuring the effective delivery of culturally safe practices for clients and their families.

You will also be part of the on-call roster to support other sites after-hours when required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (KEY SELECTION CRITERIA):

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of services to clients with complex needs, whom are pregnant and experiencing homelessness.
  • Demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems.
  • Sound understanding of dual diagnosis.
  • Ability to work effectively with people experiencing complex life stress with past / present trauma experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide co- case management with multi-disciplinary services in order to provide effective client solutions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering positive and respectful relationships with First Nation Stakeholders to enhance cultural safety and understanding in client interactions.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
