LanceTV Inc.

ABOUT LANCE TV INC

LaNCE TV Inc. was incorporated in September 2019 and is now recognised as a charity under the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC). Additionally, we expect to acquire our DGR-1 charity status before the end of the 2023/24 financial year.

We have built a reputation as a multigenerational, intersectional media presence through developing and sharing content developed for, and by, LGBTQIA+ communities across regional Victoria (and beyond). Our multi-award-winning television show LaNCE TV broadcasts live and each week from Ballarat to community television station C31 Melbourne & Geelong. The show showcases LGBTQIA+ storytelling, representation, and visibility through arts-based practice and to support the connectedness of LGBTQIA+ communities across rural and regional Victoria.

Having recently moved into a publicly accessible space located in central Ballarat, we have extended our arts practice to include Australia’s first and only Festival of Australian Queer Theatre. The inaugural presentation of this unique festival will be presented in Ballarat late August 2024.

Which leads us to now, the place we currently sit, where we are growing beyond our current scope of work to expand our platform to support content creators, storytellers, and creatives. As we enter the next chapter of our expansion phase, our focus is on the continued building of our foundations and connections with LGBTIQA+ communities in and across Victoria and beyond.
