L2R Dance is seeking new Board Members!

L2R Dance is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for new Board Members to help guide and strengthen our work across Melbourne’s West.

Our vision is a more inclusive world where people’s lives are enriched through access to the arts.

Since 2009, L2R has worked with over 24,400 young people aged 6–25 and delivered 4,288 free dance classes across Melbourne’s West. Today, L2R runs 12 free weekly dance programs across Brimbank, Maribyrnong and Wyndham—providing fun, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for young people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. We proudly champion dance to create healthier, more connected communities, generating meaningful social, community, and economic change across the region.

As we move into our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, we are seeking Board Members who can contribute their expertise and insight to help shape and deliver this next chapter.

We are currently seeking individuals with:

• Lived experience of one or more of the communities we centre and prioritise (First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, people of colour, recent migrants, refugees or people seeking asylum)
• Expertise in fundraising and philanthropy
• Business acumen and social enterprise experience

These are voluntary (unpaid) Board positions, with an expected commitment of approximately 5–10 hours per month. Our bi-monthly board meetings are located at our HQ - 72 Buckley Street, Footscray.

We are particularly committed to ensuring our Board reflects the communities we work with. First Nations People and People of Colour are strongly encouraged to apply.
