About Kiind
Kiind is a family-led, independent peer support organisation with 36 years of operation. We support 6,000+ Western Australian families raising children living with disability, developmental delay, autism, genetic, rare, undiagnosed and/or chronic conditions.
Based at Perth Children’s Hospital, our experienced Peer Navigators have extensive knowledge of the health, disability and education systems and help families to find the answers they’re looking for to best support the needs of their child. We have a range of information resources to help with this and we also connect families to one another. Through active systemic advocacy, we help decision-makers to understand the experience of children with disability and their families. We seek to influence policy, legislation, and service design.
Our vision is to create an inclusive society, where all children and families can reach their full potential. Through our three pillars of support, we help families to Connect, Learn and Be heard.
