KidsXpress is a children’s mental health charity helping to transform the lives of children impacted by adversity. We deliver trauma-informed Expressive Therapy to children under 12, alongside education services for parents, teachers and professionals who care for them.
Following a significant period of organisational growth, KidsXpress is focused on strengthening long-term sustainability and building a more diversified and resilient funding base. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Head of Fundraising to lead this next phase.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is a member of the Executive Team and leads KidsXpress’ fundraising strategy and function across philanthropy, grants, donor engagement, partnerships, events and community fundraising. The role is responsible for strengthening fundraising capability, supporting revenue diversification and building sustainable fundraising foundations across the organisation.
This role is suited to a leader who can think strategically, prioritise effectively and enable others to deliver strong fundraising outcomes. While some hands-on involvement in key relationships and strategic opportunities is part of the role, the primary focus is leadership, integration, team enablement and long-term sustainability.
You will work closely with a small team of portfolio leads, supporting them to strengthen systems, stewardship, donor journeys and fundraising performance over time.
You are an experienced fundraising leader with the ability to balance strategic thinking, relationship
management and team leadership. You are collaborative, thoughtful and capable of building sustainable fundraising practice over time.
We recognise that no candidate will meet every criterion. If your experience is different but relevant, we encourage you to apply.
At KidsXpress, we know that diverse perspectives strengthen our work and deepen our impact with
children and communities.
We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and accessible workplace where people feel valued and supported to contribute fully. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability, and people of all genders, identities and lived experiences.
If you require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know. We are committed to making this process accessible.
