Program Coordinator - Remote / Work from Home

Kids in Philanthropy

Grow the programs that fund KiP's mission

Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) delivers hands-on philanthropic learning programs for young people aged 5 to 20, building their understanding of social issues and their capacity to take real action. Students explore local causes, connect with charities, and prepare essential goods like meals, care packs, hygiene products and clothing for people in need in their community.

We run on a cross-subsidy model: fee-for-service programs with private schools and corporates fund free or subsidised programs for young people facing disadvantage. To keep growing that impact, we're looking for a Program Coordinator to help book programs for schools in low socioeconomic communities and also drive our fee-for-service school and corporate income.

About the role

You'll coordinate and oversee KiP's school and public programs, and play a key role in growing our fee-for-service pipeline, proactively reaching out to prospective schools and corporate partners, converting inbound inquiries into bookings, and tracking the pipeline from first contact to signed agreement.

Day to day, you'll coordinate program delivery (run sheets, timetables, facilitators and materials), manage our facilitator roster, set and manage project budgets, and gather feedback from schools and partners after each program to strengthen relationships and improve what we do. You'll also support recruitment, help document our systems, and contribute to grant writing, event coordination and quarterly Board reporting.

We are also applying for a Teacher in Residence (see job ad on EthicalJobs) and would be open to combining both roles into one role for the right candidate.

What you'll bring

Experience in some of the following will be highly regarded:

  • Client-facing roles, partnerships, account management or sales
  • Experience improving processes and systems
  • Experience with the education sector

The details

  • Location: Remote, Flexible
  • Status: Part-time
  • Term: One year fixed term contract with potential to extend for at least three years
  • Pay: SCHADS Award, starting from Level 4
  • Hours: Approximately 22.25 hrs/week, other arrangements considered for the right candidate
  • Reports to: Program and Engagement Manager

KiP is a child safe organisation. A current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) will be required prior to commencement, and must be maintained for the duration of your engagement.
