About Kids Giving Back
Kids Giving Back is a leading Australian charity dedicated to creating the next generation of generosity.
We provide hands-on, age-appropriate volunteering experiences for children and teens aged 5–18, empowering them to make a tangible difference in their communities while developing empathy, leadership, confidence and a lifelong commitment to giving back.
Since 2012, more than 83,000 young people, families and corporate volunteers have participated in our programs, preparing hundreds of thousands of meals and care packages for people doing it tough.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Confidently deliver high-energy, engaging sessions to groups of 20–100 participants
- Communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English to both young people and adults
- Can command a room with warmth, confidence and enthusiasm
- Are comfortable facilitating discussions, managing group dynamics and thinking on your feet
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Are reliable and have consistent availability for scheduled programs, including weekdays and/or weekends
- Are passionate about inspiring young people to become active and compassionate members of their community
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Program Lead Facilitator to deliver inspiring, high-energy programs for schools, families, community groups and corporate teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with young people, enjoys public speaking, and wants to create meaningful social impact.
As a Program Lead Facilitator, you will be at the heart of our programs—guiding participants through hands-on volunteering activities, facilitating discussions about community impact, and ensuring every participant leaves feeling empowered to make a difference.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging and interactive programs for schools, families, community groups and corporate teams
- Deliver presentations that inspire empathy, generosity and active citizenship
- Facilitate meaningful discussions and reflection activities
- Adapt content and delivery style to suit different age groups and audiences
- Set up and prepare activity and food preparation stations
- Oversee pack up, cleaning and resetting of the venue after each session
- Ensure all participants have a safe, enjoyable and impactful experience
- Represent Kids Giving Back with warmth, professionalism and enthusiasm
- Collaborate with the team to continually refine and improve program delivery
About You
You are a confident, articulate and engaging communicator who can captivate a room and connect with people of all ages.
You may have experience in:
- Teaching or education
- Youth work
- Facilitation or training
- Community development
- Public speaking
- Event coordination
You will bring:
- Demonstrated ability (or strong confidence) in delivering dynamic, high-energy sessions
- Clear and confident spoken English suitable for presenting to large groups
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Warmth, enthusiasm and a natural ability to inspire others
- A passion for youth development, volunteering and social impact
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Consistent availability and commitment to accepting shifts regularly
- A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
