WHO WE ARE
At Karinya House, we believe in making a difference for women in our community and for generations to come. We believe that every woman who is pregnant or parenting should be surrounded by care, compassion and the practical support she needs. We believe that, with the right support, every woman has the strength to make change in her life.
We are small, specialised and grass-roots organisation. Working from a social justice perspective, we are non-aligned and non-affiliated with any religion or political views and do not judge. We enable and support; and treat our team as we would the women we walk alongside, recognising the unique skills of each member of our close-knit team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve Karinya House’s fundraising and marketing objectives.
- Communicate with a range of individual, corporate and community donors to develop and maintain strong partnerships based on trust and integrity.
- Support the planning and delivery of professional and successful fundraising events.
- Draft and coordinate the production of a range of communications collateral that accurately and effectively communicate the impact of Karinya House’s work with women.
- Draft, coordinate and monitor social media and related marketing communications.
- Represent the values of care and compassion whilst still achieving fundraising goals.
- Use cloud-based systems to manage communications with a range of stakeholders
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Individuals including those of diverse backgrounds who are committed to giving back to their community, by improving outcomes for women who are pregnant and parenting.
- Individuals with relevant skills, experience or qualifications supporting communications, marketing or event management work within the community services or not-for-profit sector.

- Ability to negotiate hours, within the span of 8am-5pm. Including paid lunch breaks when breaks are taken on-site.
