About the role:

As an Operations Manager you will provide daily management and leadership across multiple sites and programs areas in the Northern Melbourne region. The position ensures that Community Participation and Community Based Day Support framework is a vehicle for individuals to explore and engage in meaningful and purposeful activities, based on individual preferences and needs.

The activities and supports promote full inclusion of people with a disability into mainstream community activities through contributing to their local community and developing new relationships.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in disability or a related field, or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience in the field
  • Significant experience in designing, delivering and evaluating outdoor recreation or community based programs
  • Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
  • Excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience managing and motivating a team, preferably in a multi-site environment
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviours and the ability to mentor staff in this area
  • Strong time management skills and a flexible attitude to post responsibilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills including familiarity with MS applications – word, outlook, excel and databases
  • Proven ability to prepare and present written and verbal reports
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
  • Maintenance of a current first aid certificate
