An exciting opportunity exists to join our multidisciplinary clinical service as a Social Worker to support in strengthening Aboriginal families. The Family Preservation program provides vulnerable families with culturally driven casework and therapeutic support to prevent children and young people entering the child protection system.

The role will be to provide in home therapeutic family support, triage and referral and will work collaboratively with the Family Preservation Caseworker in a culturally embedded model.

We are looking for someone dedicated to working with vulnerable parents and children as part of a multidisciplinary Allied Health and casework team. We have a position based across our Liverpool and Penrith offices.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent and eligibility for membership with the AASW.
  • A minimum of three (3) years full time equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Possession of a current NSW Drivers License – minimum P2.
  • Willingness to undertake a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Willingness to travel across metropolitan Sydney during work hours.
