Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Health and Wellbeing Services division. Kalwun Health and Wellbeing Service delivers a primary health care service to the people of the Gold Coast & surrounding communities.

About the Role

The Dentist will be responsible for providing high quality dental, education and training services to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. 

A key aspect of this role is improving the Oral Health outcomes in our community. We have two full time positions available, one at the Miami clinic, and one at the Coomera clinic. 

Position Duties

  • Performing comprehensive patient diagnosis, assessments and treatments
  • Ensure that dental care is in line with national ethical, legal and standards of Dental care
  • Utilise and enhance referral pathway to specialist and allied health services for clients as required
  • Assist in the development and implementation of oral health promotion and awareness activities
  • Assist with the collection, analysis and reporting of dental patient statistics
  • Providing quality education and instruction on diet and other aspects of dental care

Essential Selection Critieria

  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Tertiary qualification in Dentistry from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
  • Professional medical indemnity insurance
  • Current CPR & First Aid 
  • Current C class drivers licence.
