We are proudly working with Feros Care, to recruit their new Learning and Development Lead. Leading the Learning and Development team, you will provide advice and support to the organisation, ensuring that the delivery of all face-to-face, virtual and online education, events and programs meet Feros Care’s expectations, quality and legislative requirements and business needs.

Reporting to the Head of Talent and Capacity, you will take ownership of their learning management system ensuring educational events are created and recorded across the organisation in line with style guides while ensuring that all policies, procedures and compliance requirements are met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide operational management and strong leadership to the Learning and Development team
  • Remain up to date with both the aged care and disability industries, quality frameworks and learning needs
  • Maintain, manage and deliver their centralised orientation program to all new starters
  • Work collaboratively to design, develop and deliver content aligned to Feros Care's National Training Curriculum, organisational needs and legislative requirements
  • Provide internal reviews and program outcomes of learning solutions to ensure that materials and assessments align to Feros Care and industry requirements
  • Monitor and act to ensure that internal recordings and maintenance of training and assessment records are upheld using the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS) and filing procedures
  • Evaluate and report to management on learning and development activities
  • Support the Head of Employee Experience by providing valuable input into the strategic learning, communication and engagement strategies. Work with them to operationalise and manage these strategies
  • Build strong and valuable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively participate in special projects, initiatives or programs as required
  • Report on project progress and outcomes as required
  • Actively monitor learner satisfaction, content evaluations and pilot evaluations
  • Actively involve workforce in all levels in idea generation, innovation, problem solving and change initiatives, ensuring staff are well consulted and feel a part of any change initiative or services transformation and development
  • Maintain documentation and system data to ensure that you are always audit ready, including monitoring and acting on the internal audit program, compliance reporting, improvement activities and feedback

Essential Skills and Experience to be successful in this role:

  • Three (3) years or more in Learning and Development
  • Three (3) years or more experience in managing and leading people
  • Demonstrated experience managing/owning Learning Management System (LMS) environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing compliance learning management, reporting and action
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing and implementing sustainable learning programs
  • Demonstrated experience using virtual technologies, skype, webinar to communicate and deliver knowledge
  • A high level of communication, change management and consultation
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to read and develop reports, interpret and analyse data, categorise risk and develop and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • High-level computer skills (including MS Office) with the ability to problem solve and address inevitable system interruptions to ensure business continuity
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business Management, Education or related discipline

It would be highly desirable if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing learning frameworks and practices
  • Demonstrated experience in eLearning design, development
  • Previous experience working within the aged and/or community care industry

Criminal History Check: Please note this position requires a mandatory National Police Check to be conducted if you are chosen to be the successful candidate. The National Police Check will be renewed every 3 years.
