The Junction Works’ Community Living Service provides supported accommodation in a community setting to people with a disability. The service provides a range of supports that are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of our residents. Your Next Career Move:

With the continued growth of our Community Living team, The Junction Works now has an opportunity for an experienced, dedicated and passionate Program Coordinator to join our team.

This role, that reports to the Manager Community Living, is pivotal to the continued growth and development of the program and the residents. You will ensure the team provides a positive, strengths based and person centred service to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their own potential and become integrated into their community.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Lead a team of direct support professionals in the provision of appropriate care and support in a safe and risk managed environment
  • Engage with residents, their families, carers, advocates and other specialised support staff to develop programs and supports aimed at achieving an individual’s goals and aspirations
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place at all times by co-ordinating staff rosters in compliance with the relevant Award and client individual funding packages
  • Develop and maintain a positive team environment, conducting regular meetings, resident meetings and employee mentoring to provide support and feedback on performance with direct support staff
  • In consultation with the Manager Community Living, monitor budget expenses of all sites, card reconciliations and petty cash procedures are completed to ensure smooth running of all activities within the sites

Please Note: This role may require you to work across a 7 day roster, including weekends and evenings.

About You:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified person who is looking for an opportunity to develop and take their career to the next step. You will bring with you to this role a demonstrated knowledge of/exposure to all areas of disability support along with a passion for supporting and developing everyone involved. The ideal candidate will also bring an open and creative mindset to the position, strong organisational skills and the willingness to jump into any task at hand will also contribute to your success in this role.

A current First Aid Certificate, current NSW Drivers Licence, current NSW Working with Children Check are all required prior to commencing employment. This position is at Level 4 of the SCHCDSI Award.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive an attractive remuneration circa $67,000 - $73,000 (negotiable) plus super, leave loading and salary packaging options!
