Support After Suicide, a suicide postvention program, began as an initiative of Jesuit Social Services in 2004. Based in inner Melbourne, the program provides services in metropolitan and regional Victoria. The program aims to develop, implement and document an effective service model that:
This is a unique and exciting opportunity, to join and lead an experienced team of professional counsellors. More specifically, this role will involve overseeing the counselling and group support services for people bereaved by suicide, in collaboration with Jesuit Social Services leadership.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager, who has a background in providing therapeutic interventions to people who have experienced bereavement and trauma.
Additionally the role will contribute to the ongoing development of the program and developing best practice in the field.
A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, and/or recognised qualifications in counselling or clinical practice are essential.
This is a full time role based in inner Melbourne.
