About the program

Advocacy and Strategic Communications

The Advocacy and Strategic Communication team works to join participant voice, practice wisdom and policy advocacy to raise public awareness of the challenges faced by our participants and the changes needed at a government level to improve outcomes for the whole community.

CAPSA

The Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum is an advocacy project that aims to influence the hearts and minds of Catholic communities and the broader Australian society. It seeks to connect, support, encourage and resource Catholic people, entities and organisations who want to express their support for people seeking asylum. The Alliance is intended to complement the current advocacy and activity in support of asylum seekers from Catholic leaders, institutions and local communities.

CAPSA is co-convened by the Jesuit Social Services

About the role

We are looking for a part time Co-ordinator to provide administrative and strategic support to the CAPSA Advisory Group.

About you

The successful candidate will have administrative and organisational skills and an interest in the needs and interests of people seeking asylum and refugees. Further information about the role can be found in the position description.
