About the Organisation

Our client, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria, has partnered exclusively with Johnson Recruitment to recruit a Philanthropy Lead in this newly created role. About the Role

You will bring experience in fundraising, philanthropy, donor development, business development or relationship management, ideally within the not-for-profit sector. Whether you've managed mid-level donors and are looking to step into a broader portfolio, or you already have experience across both mid-level and major gifts, you'll be passionate about building meaningful relationships that inspire long-term support.

You are a confident communicator with excellent relationship management skills and the ability to engage donors through tailored stewardship and compelling storytelling. Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Non-Profit Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) are highly regarded. Experience developing donor proposals, impact reports and stewardship plans, along with confidence using a CRM system, will be highly advantageous.

You will also have a current Working with Children Check, satisfactory Police Check and full Australian permanent working rights.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and growing a portfolio of mid-level and major individual donors, family foundations and philanthropic supporters.
• Developing and implementing tailored cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans to increase donor engagement and philanthropic income.
• Identifying opportunities to upgrade mid-level donors into major giving relationships through personalised engagement strategies.
• Preparing compelling funding proposals, impact reports and donor presentations.
• Building strong internal relationships to identify funding opportunities and align donor interests with organisational priorities.
• Coordinating donor recognition initiatives, events and ongoing engagement to strengthen long-term supporter relationships.
• Maintaining accurate donor records and pipeline activity within the CRM system.
