About the Role
You're nimble, creative and culturally switched-on - a Digital Storytelling and Content Creation specialist ready to get hands-on developing high-performing video and social media content for our First Nations led, queer, contemporary dance company.
This is a highly creative gig - a 'filmmaker in residence' role - where you'll handle content planning alongside filming, editing and producing compelling short-form work for organic social and online platforms. You sit at the intersection of creative production, social media and marketing. You're confident shooting both video and stills, and you can flex your messaging across LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
You're passionate about making excellent content that genuinely lands with our audiences - content that builds our brand, drives traffic and converts users. You have a strong eye for work that's aesthetically aligned to the company and optimised for outreach online. This role is made for someone motivated by both aesthetics and analytics.
You'll work closely with our Artistic Director and Executive Producer in a hybrid setup - some days in the office, some remote, plenty out in the field. That means you're a strong team player who can also crack on independently when you need to. Joel Bray Dance moves fast and you'll need to keep up - turning ideas around quickly without losing the quality. The role involves travel, including time on Country, so cultural sensitivity and skills (or willingness to learn skills) in working with Aboriginal communities are essential.
