Position Snapshot

• Salary range - $115,339.12 to $120,437.20 Level 6 SCHADS Award 2010 + Superannuation (pay point dependent on qualifications and experience)
• Ongoing position full-time position (1.0 FTE) per week
• An outreach role involving regular travel in the Grampians, Loddon Mallee and Barwon South-West regions, Melbourne CBD and multiple men’s prisons and remand centres throughout Victoria – Pool car is provided.
• Generous not-for-profit salary packaging with employee benefits such as annual leave loading of 17.5% is available

Position overview

The ReConnect Program is part of the Corrections Victoria Reintegration Pathway and is a voluntary outreach program for men being released from prison to the Grampians, Loddon Mallee and Barwon South-West regions. The program aims to support participants to reintegrate into their community and access services by providing a tailored, responsive and flexible approach.

ReConnect begins working with men in prison who are due to be released and who have been assessed as high and complex transitional needs. Upon release, ReConnect Case Managers will work with the participant through three service streams depending on need.

About the Role

This role will suit a candidate with the skills and experience to thrive in the following functions:

• Develop and strengthen partnerships with Homes Victoria, Community Housing Providers, Corrections Victoria, CVHP, IAP providers, LASNs, real estate agencies and other housing stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate systemic barriers affecting participants, including discrimination, exclusion and policy gaps.
• Identify and develop sustainable housing pathways across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
• Build workforce capability by providing training, mentoring and specialist advice to ReConnect staff regarding housing systems, tenancy legislation and housing pathways.
• Provide specialist consultation to practitioners managing complex housing matters.

• Support strategic planning for participants with significant housing barriers, including those affected by disability, mental ill-health, AOD dependence, family violence, cognitive impairment or community safety concerns.

• Have a Current Driver’s Licence.

• Current Working with Children Check Victoria.
