• This prison-based role is delivered onsite across two locations: Hopkins Correctional Centre, Ararat, and Langi Kal Kal Prison, Langi Kal Kal.
• Salary range: $100,776.00 to $105,340.56 + superannuation, in line with Level 5 of the SCHADS Award 2010 (pay point dependent on qualifications and experience).
• Generous salary packaging to increase your take-home pay.
• 0.9 FTE ongoing role.
• Occasional travel to Melbourne is required.

What You Will Do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants’ needs to inform case planning and referrals.
• Facilitate group sessions on key aspects of participants’ reintegration into the community.
• Provide practical support with accommodation, family relationships, employment, finances, and health needs.
• Work collaboratively with Vacro staff, correctional staff, and external service providers.

Position Overview

The ReLink program is a component of the Corrections Victoria Reintegration Pathway (CVRP) and helps individuals in prison prepare for their release and transition into the community. Working onsite across both Langi Kal Kal Prison and Hopkins Correctional Centre you will support clients with diverse and complex needs nearing their exit from prison, as well as plan and facilitate small group and individual sessions designed to support participants’ reintegration. An ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships coupled with timely recording of data will be essential to your success in this role.

The successful candidate must be able to provide a birth certificate or passport for prison clearance purposes.

About the Role

This role is suited to a candidate with the skills and experience to deliver high-quality, client-centred case management support within a dynamic prison environment.

About You

This role fits someone who has the following skills and experience:

• Can work well with people in the criminal justice system and understands the challenges they face when moving from custody to the community.

• Has strong experience managing cases with complex clients, especially those who have contact with the criminal justice system, and a good grasp of practice frameworks.
• Comfortable delivering a group program, or willing to learn group facilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good at building relationships and working with different stakeholders.
• Knows how to work within rules and compliance.
• Good time management skills.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using MS Office, client management systems, and the internet.
• A qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field is highly desirable, or significant experience in the community services sector.

• Current Driver’s Licence.
