This role part of the inhousing team. inhousing is an innovative social landlord focused on the needs of individuals with disability. We provide accessible housing to people with disability. Our portfolio of homes support tenant control and choice and set the scene for our tenant’s community life.

inhousing is part of the Julia Farr group, which also includes JFA Purple Orange, Stretchy Tech, and the JFM Fund.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who’s values align with our own; who values inclusiveness and equal opportunities for people with disability.

Ideally, you will have the following experience and skills:

  • Experience maintaining databases and administrative systems.
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Experience coordinating administrative and/or maintenance-related processes, such as booking tradespeople and communicating with subcontractors.
  • Experience adhering to reporting schedules.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and reports.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, asset management, or project administration activities.
  • Experience working in the community housing sector will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or social/community housing programs.
  • Experience using housing management systems, particularly Chintaro, will also be highly regarded.

This role is offered on a full time basis for a fixed term contract of 12 months, with the possibility of ongoing work.

What you will be doing

The Data and Maintenance Officer will play a key role in supporting the integrity, accuracy, and management of property and tenancy data within the inhousing Chintaro system.

The role will also support maintenance coordination, reporting, and project activities to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and service delivery outcomes across the organisation.

Your work activities will include:

Data and Systems Administration

  • Maintain accurate tenancy, property, maintenance, and contractor records within our Chintaro system.
  • Administer rental income processes, including payment imports, rent charging, daily reconciliations, and month-end validation of data.
  • Monitor and improve data integrity.
  • Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or errors in the data.
  • Generate reports to support operational, maintenance, compliance, and management reporting requirements.

Maintenance Coordination and Administration

  • Coordinate maintenance requests, work orders, and contractor updates.
  • Liaise with contractors, tenants, and inhousing staff regarding maintenance matters.
  • Monitor maintenance completion timeframes and escalate outstanding issues.
  • Maintain contractor documentation, compliance records, and related registers.

Project and Organisational Support

  • Contribute to inhousing project activities relating to systems, maintenance, asset management, and operational improvement.
  • Support implementation of process improvements.
