The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development, and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.

The focus of the IUIH Disability service delivery team is to provide well-coordinated, quality disability services to eligible clients. 

About the Role

As the Disability Services manager, you will be responsible for leading the development, review, and implementation of IUIH’s vision and purpose, primarily through the delivery of NDIS services for eligible clients within South-East Queensland. A key part of the role will be business modelling for scaling up service delivery and ensuring integration of service delivery with IUIH’s existing primary care network. This role requires you to: 

  • Lead the development of NDIS Service Delivery implementation ensuring the delivery of best practice across allied health, social health, and coordination of supports. 
  • Manage and provide leadership direction to a team in accordance with IUIH’s Systems, Policies, and procedures 
  • Lead the establishment and roll out of NDIS Service Delivery operations in collaboration with other relevant Business units and organisations.

About You

  • Experience developing allied health NDIS service delivery (including mental health services) 
  • A thorough understanding of Disability service policies, systems, and procedures 
  • An ability to liaise and work with local communities and relevant Government and non-Government organizations. 
  • Current Blue and Yellow Card 
  • Willingness to obtain a Criminal History Check 
  • Current C Class Driver’s License 
  • Must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster vaccinations, according to ATAGI Standards, prior to commencement 

Desirable, but not mandatory: 

  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities 
  • Degree or qualification in Allied health, Social Health, or Community Services
