An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Counsellor to join the Star Health Counselling Program. You will be responsible for the delivery of timely, accessible and high-quality counselling services. API provides short to medium term psychological interventions and therapeutic counselling targeting hard to reach groups. Services provided include counselling with individuals and families as well as group work.  This role will involve a combination of working face to face and working from home initially.

To star in this role you will have:

• A professional qualification in Social Work (with mental health accreditation) or Psychology (AHPRA registered)
• Experience in the provision of counselling, including working with issues including complex trauma.
• Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessments, counselling interventions and group work.
• Excellent knowledge of current evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, family and group settings.
• A clear understanding of therapeutic approaches to counselling and commitment to best practice.
