We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Human Resources Business Partner who is a genuine people person and brings strong professional judgement and a human-centred approach to HR.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that effective HR is not one-size-fits-all. You are confident in your advice, yet flexible in your approach, able to assess each situation thoughtfully and respond with care, fairness and practical solutions.

This is a Fixed - term contract position, commencing 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2028, working 37.5hrs per week.

The position supports leaders across multiple NSW sites in a hybrid working model with some travel required to provide training, coaching and for attending meetings as required.

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Provide support across the full range of HR functions to leaders, their direct reports or members of the People & Culture Team.
  • Support operational line management in the execution of their people management responsibilities by providing expert leadership and advice on employee and industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations
  • Coach and support leaders to build confidence and capability in people leadership. Facilitate constructive conversations and support leaders in navigating complexity and change. Promote strengths-based leadership practice and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Coach and mentor leaders and staff to consistently demonstrate client-centred, customer-focused behaviours aligned to Interrelate’s Vision, Values and Purpose
  • In consultation with the Head of P&C, line managers and HRBP’s, continuously add value and efficiency through improving HR processes
  • Support the delivery of Interrelate’s Strategic Plan by ensuring the organisation attracts, retains and develops people with the right skills, mindset and commitment for now and the future.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture that achieves high levels of employee engagement, employee wellbeing and confidence in Interrelate’s ability to meet its operational and strategic objectives.
  • Support workforce development initiatives in collaboration with the Head of P&C and Senior L&D BP, enabling staff to adopt best practice and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage workplace risks, with an emphasis on psychosocial hazards and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior HR generalist or HRBP role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks
  • Approaches HR matters with curiosity and a “seek to understand” mindset
  • Demonstrated experience supporting WHS and psychosocial risk management
  • Empathy, emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills
  • Is committed to diversity, inclusion and culturally responsive practice
