Responsibilities of the role include:

• Supporting the participant with their needs including personal care
• Encouraging involvement within the community
• Assisting participants to achieve their goals (e.g. getting more involved in community activities, learning life skills, trying new things, etc.)

About You

• Interest supporting individuals with disabilities
• Ability to work positively with people with a disability to achieve their goals
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive, quick to respond, and focused on achieving outcomes
• Ability to work flexible hours including morning, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Demonstrated experience with personal care, medications, hoists & manual handling
• Experience working with people who use behaviours of concern within identified Behaviour Intervention plans (preferred but not essential)

Essential Requirements

• Current driver’s licence with registered, insured, and reliable vehicle
• Smart phone
• Current CPR & First Aid
• Working With Children Check (Paid)
• NDISWC (ask the office if you are unsure)
• Current Police check
• Completed NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission Module.
