Recruit For Good

Play your part in accelerating the transition to a zero-emissions Australia as a Board Member of Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE), an independent NFP think tank creating solutions for a prosperous zero-emissions Australia.

BZE has a unique ‘citizen science’ operating model drawing from hundreds of pro-bono experts so that research and engagement cuts through the noise of the climate debate. BZE shows through independent research and innovative solutions how Australia can prosper in a zero-emissions economy.

BZE publishes research on technological solutions that unlock huge economic potential for industries, regions and communities. Expert research is the springboard from which BZE showcase and facilitate lighthouse projects, which spurs decision-makers to scale and replicate successful models.

With its strong track record of success, BZE has been renominated by Giving Green (https://www.givinggreen.earth/australia) as one of the top Australian organisations addressing climate change in 2024.

This is a great opportunity to make a real and positive difference in the future prosperity of Australia

BZE Purpose

  • Honesty and openness: We are accountable and open in our communication
  • Respect: We respect and value a diversity of opinion and viewpoints
  • Collaboration: We work with many people and organisations throughout the community towards our common goal
  • Sustaining our people: We are resilient and passionate and recognise the importance of people’s well being. We celebrate our successes, and continue to learn together.

About The Board

BZE Directors are among our highest-profile ambassadors for BZE’s work and brand in the marketplace.

In addition to standard duties, BZE Board Directorship offers exciting opportunities to represent BZE work in public, and exclusive private events, as well as the opportunity to leverage your networks and knowledge to enhance the value and impact of BZE’s outputs.

Board members at BZE act in a voluntary capacity. Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting and hold office for 3 years. They may be re-elected for a maximum of two further terms (3 x 3 years in total).

The Board makes strategic and governance decisions about the organisation, while management and staff (including volunteers) action these decisions.

BZE Board Meetings
