Full-time senior position (38 hours) based in Injalak Arts centre Gunbalanya, Western Arnhem Land. This newly created role of Operations Manager is part of a small, dynamic team that ensures the smooth operations of Injalak Arts. This position provides operational and staff support across the organisation, and assistance to the CEO as required in program management and corporate governance.

The position requires a high level of HR and operational management experience. Previous remote indigenous art centre management experience highly regarded.

Injalak Arts & Craft Aboriginal Corporation is celebrating 31 years as an established art centre run by an indigenous Board of Directors. This work continues at the foot of Injalak Hill, which holds some of the most significant rock art in the world and continues an art making tradition which is over 65,000 years old. Injalak’s artists create paintings on paper and bark, carvings, weavings, textile design and screen-printing, multimedia projects and much more. The art centre offers important opportunities for the people of Gunbalanya and surrounding homelands not only in terms of employment and other economic development, but social, cultural, health and wellbeing. The art centre is internationally renowned for it’s representation of Kunwinjku traditions.
