InComPro is an Aboriginal owned, not for profit organisation, specialising in the culturally sound service provision for Aboriginal people living with a disability or complex needs. InComPro offer a range of services to their clients, including: case management, supported accommodation, respite services, tenancy support, social activities, community and cultural engagement.

About the opportunities:

InComPro are currently recruiting part time Disability Support Workers, to join our team of staff in Adelaide, working 20+ hours per fortnight. These specialised roles are responsible for supporting individuals, with complex needs and ensuring services are culturally appropriate to client individual values. The successful applicants must be willing to provide personal care support to clients with challenging behaviours. We are seeking passionate and empathetic people, to support our Aboriginal clients in achieving positive outcomes, to enhance their quality of living.

Apply if you:

  • Have experience working with Aboriginal people in a care setting
  • Have the ability to work over 7-day roster, including evenings, active nights and sleepover shifts
  • Flexibility to work across our various accommodation sites, as required
  • Are experienced in working with clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have basic computer skills

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid, unrestricted (P2 or Full) Australian driver licence (preferably South Australian)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current DHS Clearance (Disability)
  • Current Police Clearance
  • NDIS online worker orientation module certificate
  • Current working visa (if applicable)
  • Certificate III in Community Services - Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in disability services
  • Manual Handling Certificate
