About the role

Our members are part of a unique and dynamic industry, and encounter challenges ranging from irregular work patterns to health and safety issues.

In this role you will:

  • Provide counselling, mental health education and EAP support to Incolink members and their families using a flexible approach across a range of environments including building sites, face to face and digital phone and video delivery
  • Conduct assessments on clients to establish clear treatment plans employing a mode of counselling based on an established counselling framework
  • Deliver training and education sessions on a range of wellbeing topics to our members, sometimes onsite
  • Respond to critical incidents which may occur on building construction sites
  • Build sustainable relationships with employer associations, unions and other Incolink staff
  • Adhere to the Incolink clinical governance framework
  • Demonstrate evidence of evaluating and enhancing counselling practice by engaging in ongoing supervision and professional development

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • A minimum Diploma level qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy or related discipline
  • The equivalent of three years full time supervised experience in counselling
  • Current membership of a counselling professional association - PACFA or equivalent
  • A current valid driving license
  • A commitment to work flexible hours across a range of stakeholder locations
  • Experience in delivering wellbeing education

Pre-employment Clearances

Pre-employment checks will include psychometric testing, two (2) reference checks, satisfactory National Criminal History Check, COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate and Working with Children check. You will also be required to present evidence of right to work in Australia.
