Our team provides a range youth services, including housing and homelessness, youth justice responses, training and general supports to assist young people to address challenges in their lives and make positive change through a mix of practical and therapeutic interventions and the creation of opportunities for positive social participation.

About the opportunity

Inspire is seeking an active, youth worker to provide individual and group mentoring and support, and enhance engagement with young people across South-West Brisbane and Ipswich.

About you

• You are passionate about getting young people involved. Whether it be sports, music, cooking or juggling, you are willing to have a go, and support young people to do the same.
• Great ears! You know how to listen and use activities to build rapport with young people to assist them to articulate their lives, and help them navigate challenges.
• Trauma informed and strengths-based. You understand the impacts of trauma and know how to create a safe, healing therapeutic relationship and environment for young people and their families.
• Culturally aware. You value cultural connections and are committed to reconciliation and the creation of spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically safe environments.
