Inspire Youth and Family Services has played a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families in South West Brisbane since 1986, operating as Inala Youth Service. A recent rebrand, and desire to build brand awareness and better engage and acknowledge donors and supporters, has led to the creation of this exciting new role.
We are passionate about assisting children, young people and families to address challenges in their lives and make positive change through a mix of practical and therapeutic interventions and the creation of opportunities for positive social participation. We do this through a range of youth-focussed services and programs, including bail support, youth justice responses, housing and homelessness, education and training, family and generalist supports, activities and events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising and marketing professional to bring their passion, knowledge and skills to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to maximise brand awareness and support fundraising and advocacy, in support of vulnerable and at risk children and young people in south west Brisbane.
The Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for raising awareness of our organisation, the growth of fundraising revenue and cultivating lasting supporters through a number of traditional and digital mediums. As well as coordinating fundraising campaigns and increasing donor income, you will be the main contact for donors; continuously ensuring a high level of engagement and support.
This role is perfect for a team player who enjoys a healthy mix of collaborative and autonomous work. You should be adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment on projects that create social good.
You will be a passionate, energetic and driven person with excellent copywriting, editing and creative skills, and the ability to write compelling fundraising content. Your ability to work with our front line staff will see you source and develop content which can be used to communicate our impact and inspire fundraising support.
You will be creative, proactive and ready to roll up your sleeves and give anything a go, including event/campaign coordination and public speaking, when necessary. You will also have proven experience in managing projects and using online fundraising platforms. A genuine interest in the ‘for purpose’ sector, along with relevant qualifications and competency with the Microsoft Office suite, WordPress and social media networks generally, will be highly regarded.
Interviews to be held: the week of Monday 7th December 2020.
