The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As the Senior Gifts in Wills Specialist, you will take ownership of ChildFund Australia's Gifts in Wills pipeline, developing and implementing strategies that inspire supporters to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

You will build meaningful, long-term relationships with prospective legacy donors, delivering thoughtful stewardship and personalised engagement that ensures every supporter feels valued and connected to ChildFund Australia's mission.

Working closely with the Individual Giving team, you will use data and insights to drive strategic decision-making, integrate Gifts in Wills activity across fundraising campaigns, and identify new opportunities for sustainable income growth. Through your leadership, you will strengthen ChildFund Australia's legacy giving program and help secure critical funding that will transform the lives of vulnerable children for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Gifts in Wills pipeline strategy, driving acquisition, growth and long-term legacy income.
  • Build and steward relationships with prospective legacy donors through meaningful, personalised engagement and communications.
  • Integrate Gifts in Wills activity across the annual multi-channel fundraising calendar to maximise supporter engagement and giving opportunities.
  • Own pipeline reporting and analytics, translating donor data into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce and contribute to effective moves management and stewardship processes.
  • Collaborate across the Individual Giving team to enhance donor experiences and support broader fundraising initiatives.
  • Promote Gifts in Wills internally, building awareness and engagement across the organisation.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience managing a Bequests or Individual Giving program, with a strong understanding of donor acquisition, retention, stewardship and campaign optimisation. You will be passionate about building meaningful supporter relationships and using data and insights to drive growth, while bringing a collaborative, organised and analytical approach to delivering successful fundraising outcomes.

  • Previous experience in Gifts in Wills or Individual Giving, with the ability to lead innovative acquisition and retention strategies across a multi-channel approach.
  • A strong understanding of the donor lifecycle and stewardship.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to strengthen legacy giving through data analysis, supporter insights and integrated fundraising campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to steward long-term supporter relationships and deliver exceptional donor experiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM to manage donor data, reporting and pipeline performance.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and continuously improve performance.
  • A genuine passion for creating lasting impact for children and young people through purpose-driven fundraising.
