For more than 35 years, HRI has been at the forefront of groundbreaking cardiovascular research and innovation. The organisation is known for pioneering discoveries including research linking passive smoking and heart disease, uncovering the connection between diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and launching world-first stroke prevention and anti-clotting trials.
HRI fosters collaboration across scientific and clinical disciplines to accelerate breakthroughs that improve and save lives. The organisation also has a strong commitment to equity, supporting women in STEM and improving Indigenous health outcomes through research, collaboration, and community engagement initiatives.
