As General Manager Fundraising, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Dementia Australia's mission by securing the funding that makes life-changing support, advocacy and research possible. Every strategy you develop, partnership you cultivate and donor you engage will help expand the organisation's reach, ensuring more Australians affected by dementia can access the services, support and breakthroughs they need.

Key responsibilities
- Lead with authenticity, resilience and vision through a period of growth and transformation, creating an environment that embraces change, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and execution of a bold fundraising strategy that accelerates revenue growth and positions Dementia Australia for long-term sustainability and impact.
- Drive the evolution of the fundraising function, embedding innovation, best practice and a future-focused approach that strengthens capability and performance across the organisation.
- Inspire, mentor and develop a high-performing fundraising team, fostering an ambitious, collaborative and values-led culture where people thrive.
- Expand and diversify fundraising income by strengthening existing revenue streams while identifying new opportunities across philanthropy, major gifts, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, bequests, community and individual giving.
- Build influential relationships with major donors, strategic partners and key stakeholders, creating long-term partnerships that advance Dementia Australia's mission and amplify its impact.
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to shape organisational strategy, elevate fundraising as a core strategic priority and contribute to the organisation's continued growth.
- Leverage data, insights and emerging trends to optimise fundraising performance, strengthen donor engagement and deliver measurable return on investment across the fundraising portfolio.
- Work collaboratively across Marketing, Communications and the broader Awareness and Growth portfolio to deliver integrated campaigns that strengthen brand awareness, supporter engagement and fundraising outcomes.
- Represent Dementia Australia with credibility and influence, raising the organisation's profile while inspiring supporters, partners and the broader community to invest in creating a better future for people impacted by dementia.
Skills and experience
We're seeking a visionary fundraising leader with the ambition and expertise to build high-performing teams, drive transformational growth and create a culture where innovation, people and performance thrive.
You will bring:
- Extensive senior fundraising leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute bold growth strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth and long-term organisational impact.
- A background in driving growth across all revenue streams, including individual giving, high-value giving, and community fundraising.
- Data-led with an analytical focus, with the ability to make data-led decisions that drive growth, and a test-and-learn mentality.
- An inspiring and authentic leadership style, with the ability to build high-performing teams, lead through change and foster an ambitious, collaborative and values-driven culture.
- Strong strategic, commercial and analytical acumen, with the expertise to identify new opportunities, diversify income streams and translate vision into measurable outcomes.
- A proven track record of driving transformational growth, strengthening fundraising capability and delivering exceptional performance in a dynamic environment.
- Budgeting and reporting capability, with the ability to develop, manage, and report on budgets, forecasts, and performance against targets.
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with experience engaging major donors, corporate partners, philanthropists and senior stakeholders to cultivate enduring partnerships.
- A forward-thinking and innovative mindset, with the confidence to challenge convention, embrace new opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in fundraising, business, marketing, communications or a related discipline, together with a current driver's licence and the flexibility to travel as required.
- A genuine passion for Dementia Australia's mission and a deep commitment to improving the lives of people living with dementia, their families and carers through ambitious fundraising and meaningful community impact.
