Australia for UNHCR and Aotearoa New Zealand for UNHCR are the UN Refugee Agency’s national partners in Australia and New Zealand, raising awareness and funds to support UNHCR’s global emergency response to humanitarian crises.
Since 2000, Australia for UNHCR has raised more than $500 million from individual donors, philanthropists and corporates to support some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Together with Aotearoa New Zealand for UNHCR, the organisation helps deliver emergency shelter, water, cash assistance, healthcare, education, and livelihood programs for displaced communities around the globe.
By mid-2025, there were an estimated 117 million forcibly displaced people worldwide. UNHCR provides protection and support to refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced communities globally.

Reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting donor and revenue growth through the delivery of acquisition, appeals, retention, and loyalty campaigns. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will help coordinate initiatives that create meaningful supporter experiences while driving sustainable income growth across both single giving and regular giving programs.
This role will see you coordinate direct mail appeals and supporter acquisition and retention campaigns end to end, while also contributing to supporter journeys, loyalty touchpoints, reporting, and campaign optimisation. You will collaborate with creative agencies, data teams, internal or external copywriters, mail houses, and fundraising colleagues to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly, accurately, and effectively.
