Impact of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded strategic partnerships professional to lead the next stage of sustainable growth for RFDSSE's Corporate Partnerships portfolio and represent RFDSSE in RFDS National partnerships acquisition and retention. Utilising the incredibly strong brand recognition, you will play a key role in shaping future growth, identifying new opportunities and securing innovative, high-value partnerships aligned with the organisation's mission and values.

Working across the organisation, you will collaborate creatively with internal stakeholders (including frontline colleagues, executives, and board as well as your outstanding philanthropy, fundraising and Corporate Affairs colleagues) to develop compelling partnership opportunities, engage senior corporate decision-makers and create meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships that align with the RFDS brand and deliver value for both partners and the communities they support. As an ideas person and an influencer, you will also play a key role in exploring and co-developing centenary activations that inspire new partners and embed long term partnerships, and potential new programs to broaden opportunities for businesses to support the vital work of the RFDS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic growth of the RFDSSE Corporate Partnerships program, ensuring sustainable income growth aligned with organisational and philanthropy strategies.
  • Develop and implement annual acquisition and retention strategies across Corporate Partnerships, including workplace giving and national partnership opportunities.
  • Identify, research and cultivate a strong pipeline of new corporate partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the full partnership lifecycle, including prospecting, proposal development, pitching, negotiation, onboarding, stewardship and renewals.
  • Develop creative, values-aligned partnership opportunities that deliver meaningful outcomes for both partners and the RFDS.
  • Grow and manage the existing workplace giving portfolio while identifying opportunities to increase participation and long-term engagement.
  • Build strong relationships across Corporate Affairs, Fundraising and operational teams to identify partnership opportunities and maximise organisational support.
  • Represent RFDSSE at networking events, industry forums and stakeholder engagements to raise the profile of the Corporate Partnerships program and generate new opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional partner stewardship through impact reporting, contract management, benefit delivery and ongoing relationship management.
  • Monitor partnership performance, industry trends and growth opportunities to inform strategy and future development.
  • Manage budgets, revenue forecasts, pipeline reporting and performance against KPIs.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated success in a strategic corporate partnership, business development or commercial partnerships/marketing role within the not-for-profit or corporate sector
  • Proven ability to create, identify and secure bespoke high-value, multi-year corporate partnerships with strong brand alignment.
  • Strong experience managing the full partnership lifecycle, from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation, implementation, stewardship and renewal.
  • A creative and commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify new partnership opportunities and develop compelling value propositions.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills, with confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pipelines, revenue targets and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing high-quality proposals, presentations and reports.
  • A proactive, collaborative and self-motivated approach, with a passion for building long-term partnerships and delivering meaningful impact.
  • Ability to travel to rural, regional and remote areas of NSW and interstate as required.
  • Full Australian Driver’s License.
  • A genuine commitment to the mission, vision and values of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
