At IHCA, we’re about Inspiring Healthy Communities in Australia.
We work with government, enterprise and not-for-profit community service organisations to improve their impact on their consumers in the health, community and support service sectors. We push beyond the current benchmarks to build the future of the quality standards community as a recognised leader in excellence.
We are not-for-profit, charitable and independent and we have been providing consultancy and training, certification and accreditation under a variety of national and internationally accredited standards for more than 30 years.
Demand for our assessments of health and community service sector organisations is growing, and we’re looking for exceptional people to help health and human service providers across Australia gain accreditation and certification so they can continue to offer support to Australian communities.
You will work closely with our IHCA team and other contract assessors, conducting third-party quality assessments against a variety of nationally and internationally recognised standards including:
As a contract assessor, you are responsible for ensuring that the assessments you are assigned to complete are conducted on time and with the necessary rigour and technical integrity to meet accreditation requirements. You will produce concise, articulate reports of the assessments you undertake within the stated timelines and you will be prepared to undertake follow-up work with organisations when necessary.
At this point in your career, you are seeking something different. You have demonstrated through your prior experience that you have strong professional integrity, and you are committed to continuous quality improvement. Now you are keen to apply your understanding in supporting organisations to mature their quality systems.
Because our clients work with vulnerable people, you will need to provide a current National Police check and comply with any other worker screening requirements set out in the relevant standards.
To reduce the risk of transmission of diseases which may cause harm to vulnerable people, you will need to comply with the vaccination requirements of our client organisations. At a minimum, you will need to provide current evidence of your Covid-19 and seasonal influenza vaccinations.
Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified people from all backgrounds - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, and people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background are strongly encouraged to apply.
