About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will work alongside people living with mental health challenges, psychosocial disability, intellectual disability and complex support needs to help them build confidence, develop skills and achieve their individual goals.

No two days are the same.

You might be supporting someone to attend an appointment, preparing meals together, assisting with personal care, teaching daily living skills, facilitating community participation or simply being a positive and consistent presence in someone's recovery journey.

You will be part of a team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support in a safe, respectful and recovery-oriented environment.

Essential Requirements

  • A non-judgmental, person-centred approach to supporting people with complex mental health, intellectual and psychosocial disability.
  • Emotional self-regulation and ability to respond appropriately in challenging situations.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in disability, mental health, aged care, youth work, nursing, community services or related fields.
  • Certificate III in Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health or a related field (or similar).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 2 of shifts, (including at least one sleepover).
  • Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per week.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete support documentation.

A NSW Driver Licence is desirable.
