ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent part-time position based on 3 days per week (0.6 FTE) with 12 months’ probation period.

As Operations Officer, your duties encompass a range of responsibilities crucial to the organisation's functioning. This includes managing memberships, donations, and financial transactions, as well as responding to supporter enquiries. Additionally, you play a role in preparing for various meetings, providing essential data and reports on metrics like finances and membership growth. You handle merchandise orders, coordinate with vendors for logistical needs, and maintain procedural documentation and online security measures. Your role extends to supporting the administration of the AFSA website, assisting with the promotion of the organisation through social media channels, and producing communication content such as e-news and social media updates. Attending relevant events and assisting with any other tasks as required are also part of your responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL EXPERTISE

• Experience in an administration, operations, or customer care role
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Data collation and analysis skills

DESIREABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience/knowledge of the Xero accounting system
• An understanding of the ethical and scientific objections to animal experimentation
• Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, and Wordpress
