We are seeking motivated, passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team at Cram in permanent positions!
Permanent rosters will entail a 4 weekly rotational roster, that will include a variety of shifts patterns including days, afternoons, sleepovers, active nights and weekends.

About you

As a Disability Support Worker at Cram, you will be supporting individuals with complex disabilities. Our services include group home accommodation, in-home care, community engagement and clinical support.

You will play an integral role in enhancing the quality of life for people with diverse care needs, offering person-centred support that fosters independence, promotes health and wellbeing and supports participant's to achieve their personal goals.

You will have;

  • A genuine passion for improving lives and making a positive impact
  • Enthusiasm for providing life-enriching care with resilience, energy and compassion
  • Qualification in Disability is highly desirable
  • Experience in or a desire to work with people who require high intensity supports
  • Flexibility and availability to work across a range of shifts.

It would be a highly regarded if you have experience with high intensity supports, including complex bowel plan, enteral nutrition and gastrostomy care.

Key responsibilities

  • Promoting participant independence by supporting daily activities, fostering skills for self-care and providing assistance aligned with individual goals.
  • Provide personal care and daily living support, while maintaining a safe, clean and supportive living environment by adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Follow individualised support plans tailored to participant needs.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families and carers, and collaborate with team members and external service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with reporting requirements, reporting on workplace incidents in a timely manner.

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to work a 24-hour rotating roster including active overnights, sleepovers and weekends within a 4-week roster.
  • Proven experience working with people with disabilities or the ability to showcase transferrable skills from a similar sector.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering participant independence and maintaining strong relationships with both participants and team members.
  • Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Valid Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screen Check.
  • 2 doses of Covid-19 Vaccination.

The role requires shiftwork, manual handling, and we may require candidates to complete a Fit for Work assessment during the recruitment process.
